As teachers, we know there’s one aspect to teaching that if done well can make everything run smoothly...and that’s organization. The more organized we feel, the easier our school day (for the most part!).

If you’re anything like me, Back to School season is the most organized I am all year long. I clean out my classroom, get it all in order, and start fresh with my checklists on clipboards, my planner neatly organized, and student supplies in all the right places.

But this year, everything feels out of control. Things are constantly changing, and we’re already feeling like we’re just keeping our heads above water. I know I won’t be able to help you with your businesses until you feel organized at school. We need to be able to get our systems in place so we can feel some sense of control and so that we can set a boundary around the length of our school day.

In this episode, we’ll hear from 3 experts of organization. The first is Erin Godwin of @organizedinelementary. This is Erin’s second time on the podcast, and she’s coming at us with lots of tips for setting up an organized space, whether you’re in person or remote learning.

Next up, Kelly Jackson from @simplyorganizedteacher is talking to us about her tips for clearing the clutter and making way for simple systems in our classroom this year.

Finally, Allie from @techaboutmath tells us some easy ways to use technology to make our lives easier this year.

This is a longer episode, but is full of useful tips to inspire you to rethink organization in this crazy time.
